Doin' her little East Coast thang!!!
So this time I come to you from the home Mindy Grady and of our future puppy...that's right, puppy. Most of you have already heard that Chris and I are getting a dog. More specifically a Dogo Argentino. These are the most amazing dogs!! We just got here last night and were around the mothers long enough to feed them and take them outside and already the are completely comfortable with us. They don't bark when we come in the room and the fight us when we try to put them back. The oldest, Bellah, who is 5 years old is constantly jumping up on me wanting me to just give her as much attention as possible. They love for us to just hug them around there necks and they put their chins on our shoulders as we pet them. They are completely comfortable with us doing whatever with the puppies. Pretty awesome from two 80 lbs horses that "look so mean"!! We are so excited to get our little "Bai Li" (pronounced BUY-LEE) which means "White Beauty". We will be able to bring her home in another month. We don't know which one she is yet since they are only 4 weeks old. Because they are so young their personalities are just now coming out...they bullies and the barkers are starting to show themselves. Also, we have to wait until Mindy is able to take them to Michigan to get their hearing tests. Dogos, like most white animals, are more likely to suffer from deafness. In fact there was one puppy who slept all through their feeding today, and we wonder is it isn't deaf...he was in a cage with 12 other puppies and a giant bowl of food and never moved a muscle. I thought it might even be dead!!
I will try to get some pictures up here eventually...can't yet since I'm not on my own computer, but hopefully we will be Internet again, although hard to tell how long that will be. It does no good to have Internet if you don't have money to pay you electric bill!!!
Mindy also has an African Survel. Google it...they are awesome!! He doesn't like any one but Mindy though, he just hisses at us. So Mom keep your distance!!
Check out Mindy's website for the Dogos. The mother of our puppy will more than likely be Bellah (I say that because her daughter Jazzlin also just had 3 puppies) and the father is Fabulous. Jazzlin was #3 national Dogo Champ in 2006, and Fabulous was #1 national Dogo Champ in 2007. Absolutely beautiful dogs. The pictures do them absolutely no justice.

Need to Hurry Before My Batteries Die!!!!
Well...things here are still going good. We are just counting down the days until our Myrtle Beach Vacation!!!! We brokedown and bought and iPod today for the trip. It plays 14 hours of music and it's a 10 hrs drive so it should work out well. We did get two more friends for Rooney. We decided to stick with the music theme (Rooney is one of my fav bands) and we now have Linkin (Linkin Park) and Gwen (Gwen Stephani). They are two of the cutest little poop machines ever!! Well...it's late, my laptop is about to die and it a million degrees on my lap, and I'm bumming off of a friends wireless internet so I'm outta here!!!

We have two of the rooms painted right now, and we just good Rooney back, which I am very very happy about!!! Thanks to everyone who came to the housewarming, it was very nice. There really isn't a whole lot going on rugth now. Same stuff just a different place!!

And on to the Hard Part...
Well, we are in contract with the house. Now we just have to wait to get our financing taken care of. I guess we made $3,000 too much to get any down payment assistance. We had to get alternate lines of credit and we called all of our utilities a month ago and requested all of our payment histories, but WOW and AT&T are not helping at all. WOW still hasn't sent it, and now AT&T is saying that they can't since we are no longer customers. They are so horrible that there are no words. And they are just turning themselves into a Monopoly...AGAIN...since Bellsouth is getting ready to join them too. GGGRRR.....I really really don't like them. But anyway, that's the lastest. Till next time....

Here we Go...Again....
Well...we are signing an offer on a house today. I'm so nervous!! As we were waiting for our realitor to look at it, three other cars pulled up. It was another realitor and a couple coming to look at it, so I'm nervous that we won't get it. If we don't it won't be a huge deal....we just really want it. The house has everything we were looking for, except a basement. But there is plenty of room and storage that it not really a big issue. It has a big two car garage and three small storage shed's behind it. It's three bedroom and the kitchen has a ton of cabinets!!! The area is not exactly Dublin or anything, but it's one a quiet street with not alot of traffic. We should know by Monday if they accept our offer or not!!!

Here we Go...
Well...we got to look at houses today. The one that had the really big yard was just too much of a stretch for me. As much as I wanted to like it, it just wasn't there. The whole house was hard wood floors, which I am not a fan of (too hard to keep clean!!) except for the Kitchen which had carpet. It was just cramped and weird. We would have had a hard time putting our Queen size bed in the bedroom, so we ruled that one out. We got it down to two. We are hoping to go back to see them again this Sunday with our family so they can see what they think. I put links on the page (hopefully they will work) to both of them. The first one is the one I like best, and I think Chris does too. It needs nothing done to it except paint what colors we want. The second wouldn't need much and has only had one owner since 1956! But anyway....here they are.

Same Ole....
So I figured now that it's been over a month since my last post it's time to put something on here. There's really nothing new going on right now. We're still in the class, and getting ready to start the Revelation book in Chinese, so that should be very interesting. Right now we are trying to get a house. We have picked out about six houses that we were supposed to look at last Sunday, but our realitor was sick (of course!!!) so we are going this Sunday. Hopefully that should all work out for us. It won't be anything fancy, but it will be a place where we won't have to listen to our downstairs neighbor beat on his girl (just our next door ones!!) The bucks lost and that really really sucks, but we still beat Michigan and got the Heisman so it was still a good season. Besides, the way they played we didn't deserve to win. (Except for FL 2nd t.d. when the kids knee was CLEARLY on the ground!!!!) But anyway, it really is the same old here, but we will keep you updated on the housing situation.

wE'Re OfFiCaL!!!!
Well, as of Nov 22, 2006, the Columbus, Ohio Chinese group is offically recognized by the Society!!!!! We were all so surprised, they had just told us at last weeks class that they had sent in the paper work about two weeks ago and then they annouced it Wednesday at Central's Service Meeting. I was cought so off guard that I was starting to cry (thanks Mom!!). After meeting, Jessica Rambo that I went to Ohio State with came up and we gave each other a big hug...we've both been waiting a long time for this!!! This also will be a test for those who said they were waiting until the group was offical to move to Central, us included!! But Chris talked to the secretary after meeting, so all we have to do is inform our current secretary. I'm pretty sure they have morning meeting right now, and since the year is almost over, that means I won't have morning meeting for another two years!!! It's already been two since my last one!! Aawww....3:30pm....here we come!!!!

Hijacking

I stole this pick from my friends website. This is Danielle Belle. She is responsible for all of our beautiful wedding pictures. And this a picture of her in our new hall. Since I don't have a digital camera and I'm still developing pictures from 2004, this is the quickest way for everyone to see how beautiful our new hall is.

What Next...
Well, we had our first anniversary. And of course it had to go somewhat wrong.
We went to dinner the night before because we had the circut overseer the night of and wanted to be able to get drinks. We ended up going to Red Lobster since we went to Mongolian Grill early, and because they had endless shrimp. YUM!! It was nice on Tuesday though because Chris had the whole day off and we didn't have to do anything. We went back on the trails behind our apartment for the first time. It was really nice, the leaves were really pretty and there were all kinds of bridges that went across abunch of little streams. After meeting we went to Kroger to pick up some things. We had received a bottle of Champagne for our wedding that we had saved and so we wanted to get some chocolate and strawberries to go with it. So we go into the store and when we come out, our car won't start. Ya know...just cause it's us. So our would be romantic night turned into his brother picking us up and taking the battery to get tested and then going home and going to sleep. I didn't get flowers. And we forgot to give each other cards cause he didn't want to do that till our anniversary. It was still a good day overall though.
So now the Taurus is still sitting in the Kroger parking lot and will probably be there for a long time....which doesn't bother me at all!!

The Man...
Chris and I went to Circleville yesterday after Chinese class. We had alot of fun. John and Pam met us down there, so it was nice to see them. We spent all of our money which was alot of fun. And of course most of it was on food. We had pumkin bugers when we first got there which was nothing more than a gorlified sloppy joe, but that were good. Chris got a peice of pumpkin cake there too. Then we walked acouple of blocks and got a huge thing of French Fries. And we stood there listening to these awesome guys playing drums. Then began the source for some pumpkin fudge. John had to get some for his mom and when they had gone to the booth earlier they were sold out. So we went back because they were getting more. When we got there she informed us that they had brought our 53 lbs and that it was gone in 5 minutes!!! So she gave us directions to the actual shop. The shop is called Whitters or something like that. It's the old confectionery in the U.S, It was opened in 1840. It was neat. It had a little soda shop feel to it. The fudge was cooling down and we had to wait till they could cut it. So we sat down at the soda counter and ended up getting pumkin ice cream there. Then John and Pam headed home and Chris and I went to ride the zipper. It was sooo awesome. I hadn't been on that ride in forever!!! And Chris had never been on it at all. And we've riden rides like that before so I figured Chris would be fun and help rock it and all. So I of course start rockin as soon as we get in and Chris just sits there. He was really starting to worry me. He looked scared to death!!! It made it that much better!!! Needless to say we both screamed like crazy people. It was great. And to top it all off we got some fried veggies which I have been craving all fall!!!! They were so good. Chris also got cotton candy, so at least we ate healthy...rrriiiiiiiigggghhhtttt......We went walkin some more and past one of those "Prove your a man by ringing the bell" games, and I jokingly told Chris that he should try it. And he did. He got the swings and one the last one he was seriously like two inches from the bell. But I still got a prize so it was cool. By then the parade was going so yoiu couldn't really leave a one block radius so he decided to go back again. He did worse that time though, but once again, I still got a prize :) We had a great time. Even though we didn't even go see the big pie. But it was the last night so it was very very crowded. Can't wait until next year!!!

Back by Popular Demand
Things here have been as crazy as usual. Chris started his new schedule two weeks ago, so we've been trying to get used to that. So now he was class on Tuesday and Friday nights. So that means that we have to fit our meetings in on Wednesdays and Thursdays. That wasn't going to be a problem because Worthington's meetings had been changed from Tues to Wed nights because of the fire. Well....of course it would happen that we're back in the hall now and once again can't go. GGrrrr.....But it is so great being back in the hall. It is so beautiful!! The colors are very different. It's done in neutrals of course. They just painted the walls in the auditorium which is different. The used a faux texture on the top section and a burnt sienna kind of color on the bottom, kind weird, but nice. Our chairs are awesome!!! There not that normal kingdom hall texture that looks like 120 thread count sheets....they are a really smooth and tightly woven matrial and the are so pretty. The are a tanish color and then the have the same burnt sienna colored tiny little leaves all over. I love 'em. The whole hall has a faux texture to it, all the wall papers and everything. The lobby is done in dark reds with a really nice looking chandalier. And they have put big framed mirrors everywhere too. The mens and womans rooms are nice too. They actually decorated them rather than just put something up. One of my favorite things is the pictures in the mothers room. The have the cutest little 3x3 black and white pictures...one is of little baby feet, and one of little baby hands....they are so neat. Another great thing is that we now have doors that seperate the lobby from the aud. I'm usually not a big fan of those, but we desperately needed them. Our hall is very ackward. It's actually shaped like an 'L.' So when you walk in you actually walk into the lobby then have to turn to go into the aud. But when you walk in you are acutally walking into the middle of the the aud. So that the majority of the seats would be to your left, but there are also seats to your right. The traffic during the meeting makes it near impossible to pay attention because you can see and hear everything in the lobby. And of course the lobby was all title so when sisters would go walking or little brats would go running across you could hear in the entire aud, it would just echo into there. Same with the drinking fountian, the sound would just travel over the title and ggo directly into the aud, and that thing is loud! So now that have a big ol' set of doors there, and it makes all the difference. They also put an inset of carpet in the middle of the title, which also helps absorb some of the sound. The downstairs is my fav. I actually like it more than upstairs. They took our old lavender chairs and decorated around them for the Japanese group that meets there. It is absolutely gorgeous. On the bottom the did the darkest shade of lavender possible and then on the top is a beautiful shade of pink. In the corridar down there they used semi gloss and eggshell to do a beautiful 6 in stripe on the walls. It just looks like there's ribbons on 'em and you just wanna touch it!!! They also put a lavender colored carpet down. I'm so happy for the Japanese group. Before the had the junkiest red chairs andjust leftovers from everywhere and nothing matched. But now they have their very own kingdom hall. It's absoultely wonderful to be back in the hall. Just walking in there and seeing your congregation in there seats together where we all belong after 3 months of everyone just catching whatever meeting they can....it's indescribable and absolutely wonderful!!!
Chris and I have cheated on our anniversary (Oct 24th...hint hint). I've had his stuff for a month, but he came home after getting mine out of layaway and he couldn't wait to give it to me. So we both gave just little parts. I gave him his lantern, castiron skillets, rack to put the pans on over a campfire, and camping chairs. And he gave me my pink sapphire necklace!!! I had pretty much assumed that was what he had gotten, but it was still a surprise to actually get it!! It's so beautiful...I have wanted that thing since we went to pick out our wedding bands!! It's awesome. Last night he gave me another part...we went to target and got a deep fryer. We used to just use a pan, but it caught on fire (ask next time ya see me, it's a funny story). I've been dying to make onion rings and we had talked about getting one before so I was happy. And next week we are going to go back and I'm going to get a handmixer. WooHoo!!! Unless....hinthintwinkwinknudgenudge....I happen to get a Kitchen Aid mixer instead. Chris said he was going to get me a pink one, but decided not to. I'm already realizing that I will not escape the fate of most women in that of receiving some sort of household care appliance. But that doesn't bother me because I really need 'em!!! We both got our ann. off and just plan on chillin and eatin. We're going to go to our favorite breakfast place Nancy's Home Cooking, it's a cheap hole in the wall with the best food ever (like anyone could know that) and then we are going to go to b.d.'s Mongolian Grill which is where his mom took us for dinner on our wedding day and that we have decided is pretty much going to have to be the tradition, like Grandpa Painter and Mark Pi's or Mom and Dad and Olive Garden, that's our place. It's awesome....it's like a stirfry buffet. You get a bowl and fill it with whatever meat you want...steak, chicken, lamb, pork, shrimp, tofu....then veggies, then you get your sauce...wine, peanut, soy, curry, all kinds of stuff!!...and add spices if you want, and don't forget to grab an egg!!! Then you walk up to this HUGE round grill and someone takes your bowl and puts it on the grill...they have these really long what they call swords that they use to mix up the stuff and cook it. It's awesome. We just found out about the egg the last time we went. They put it on the grill and grab it with the swords and crack it onto your veggie and stuff, and that makes it like fried rice, it's great. But after we go there we actually have the circut overseer that night, then we are going to open the bottle of champagne that a couple gave us for our wedding. I'm looking forward to it. The original plan was to have the day before and after off too to go out in service for the special campain, but Chris couldn't get all that with his new job, but I still have the days off and I really need theh break from work. Plus that fact that we have 75 Chinese tracts a piece to place!!!!
Anyway, hopefully this extremely long post makes up for the past month. Later days.

Yes...I'm Still Alive...
I think the problem is that there is always so much to put on here that I just feel over whelmed and never do, that and having the time. But I called off work today, so I guess that's a good place to start.
I've been not feeling well now for about three weeks. At first it was just little stuff that I was noticing that was drving me crazy like my hands being super dry all the time, and my voice being stratchy but my throat not hurting. But one day at work I was really cold but then got really hot. My face was red and you could feel the heat coming off of me, but when I took my temp it was only 97.3. Weird. Then I would feel like my heart was racing and was having heart palpitations. Then that changed to my heart going slower. One night I was just sitting on the couch and it felt like my chest sucked into itself and it took my breath. It really felt like my heart had stopped, and my fingers were tingling. Not good!! At first I thought I might be my blood pressure, but when I was talking to a sister at the hall she mentioned that she had a hypoactive thyroid and the palpitations were a reaction that she had. When she said that I was like "Duh"!! Since I have always thought that I've had that. People have always accussed me of being a hypocondriac. So then she starts mentioning other things like dry skin!!! Which I had noticed, but never thought it would be connect to the other things. And of course too the lethargy, which I had also been having. Not to mention the depresstion that had been on going since about the age of 12. So I went home and looked up some stuff and it also mentioned a hoarse voice. So I am all but convinced that that is what is going on. But I don't have health insurance so I can't go to the doctor just yet. But I definately and gonig too and am just kinda dealing with it till then.
But that leads to the next big news....Chris got a new job!!!!! Now...he had applied for this same job with a different company. That company drug the process out for an entire month...so we didn't ever know if he was going to get this awesome job for that long. Long story short, he didn't get it. So we just kinda thought "oh well" and I tried to go full time at my job but they wouldn't let me so I still didn't have health insurance. So about two weeks ago now, Chris just gets this call from someone named Ron. He said that he had been speaking to Phil from the place that had turned him down. Ron had asked if he had had any good applicants that he wasn't able to hire, so he gave Chris' name. And now...two weeks later he has the job and will probably start Monday!!! So here's the job: It's an HVAC apprenticeship. So they are going to pay for his schooling and in five years he will have an associates degree in HVAC service. It's a union job. Health insurance after 3 months, a van after 30 days, 7 paid holidays, 1 week vacation, retirement, pay for all tools, and.......$1.75 raise!!!!! We are so excited!! Goes to show that Jehovah does not always answer your prayers in the way you are expecting, but he doesn't leave you hanging either.
Well, I'm sure there are other things to put on here (like messing with Texas!!!) but those are the biggies, no puppies or babies my way...but that's just fine with me!!!

Busy!!!!
We've been pretty busy as of late. This Saturday we received our letters that we are in the Chinese classes!!!! We're pumped about that. They start Oct 7th and go through March 31st. We will have bookstudy 9am-10am, have an hour break, then our two hour class with a 10min break, then go out in service. So our Saturdays are pretty much shot for six months, at least until 5pm. Our weekends have already been busy, everyone decided to wait until August to do anything, so we've had baby showers, graduation parties, baseball games, and movies filling our weekends. And we have two weddings in Sept. Craziness!!!

I've still got jet lag...
I still haven't really recovered from my little trip. When I got home it felt like I had been gone alot more than only three days. But maybe my two hour delay in Houston had something to do with that. That was an experience. My two and a half hour layover slowly became four and a half. There was one point where a plane came up the the gate so everyone started lining up and it was the flight that was suppose to go out after ours! Grr...But I did finally make it back to Columbus at 12:30 am. I felt bad for Chris who had to stay up to come get me cause he had to be at work at 8 am the next morning. Of course, though, he set the alarm wrong and didn't wake up till 9 am, so he was a little late.
It was funny because Chris was a actually alittle excited that I was going to be gone. He thought he was just going to have all his guys over and hang out. But our best friend Tom was at his convention and his brother Derek was in Poland, so that only left two. And one of his friend's cousin was in town, who is a girl and wasn't too insterested in playing Risk, so they left. Needless to say, he didn't have too much fun. I cam home and he admitted that he "missed me alot more than he thought he would"...awwww.....
I'm going alittle insane currently b/c I forgot my hair brush in Texas, my hair is so nasty. I've had to try to "brush" my horrindously thick hair with a comb....just not working out....But I got paid today so now I can go get one. It's also been a week since I've been to the chiropractor. I'm startin to get alittle sore. You get kinda spoiled when you go everyother day. But anyhow...I'm back and ok, so it's all good.

I Know...I Know....
I know it's been awhile since I've put anything on here. Things have been their normal crazy up here. I finished my training at work last week. It was alittle rough going from 12 hrs a week to 40 hrs. We did get a new car, a silver '99 Ford Taurus. Not actually my first pick, actually it was even on my list...but it is nice. Even though so much has happened I really don't have much to say, I suppose that's why I haven't put anything up here. We're going canoeing this weekend, hopefully it won't rain. We're still not sure exactly who is going to go, but we have alot of maybe's, eh Judy ;). I would invite everyone else but the only other people who read this would be making a long trip just to go. Anywho...that's all for now.

Complete Exhaustion
I AM SOOOOOO TIRED!!! It was so bad Sunday that I just kept crying. Over nothing...I just couldn't take it anymore.
We worked at the hall Friday for about 3 hours, just scrubbing walls. Then we were there again on Saturday working from about 1 to 7 or so. We just came home, got the top layer of ick off of us and went swimming. The water was cold, but it was great. Being in the dust and smoke for two days it was nice having all that chlorine burning everything out. Sunday at meeting I went into a coughing fit, but I still don't regret wearing my mask :). I would rather deal with a cough then pass out from heat exhaustion. I wore it when I needed. Like when we were squaring up the holes made in the drywall on the ceiling. That was fun!! I was in so much pain on Saturday night!! I worked way too hard on Saturday. One of the brothers yelled at me. I was scubbing this aluminum door and was doing better than anyone else working on it (I can say that cause they would admitt it) at getting all shiney again. One of the brothers came over and said, "Kelly, when was the last time you went outside?" I thought I did something I shouldn't have. I told him I didn't know. And he told me that I needed to go outside and get some fresh air. I have been in there for an hour and a half or two hours, not too long. I told him that I had come back in when Chris did and he said he hadn't seen me outside all day. But I just kept workin'. :) And the door is all pretty again!! But I took a muscle relaxer that night so that I would be able to move on Sunday. Well...I could move, but I couldn't wake up!! I swear it's still making me tired today!!!
This week is busy!! We have bookstudy tonight because of the convention, more cleaning at the hall tomorrow, Wednesday I have to break in a pair of my new shoes, and go to Chinese bookstudy, Thursday I have to get food for the convention, and break in my other new pair of shoes. Monday after the convention I start training at work.
I got a promotion at work. I will now be in OMS, aka order management. Basically I'll be dealing with the Credit Card part of my job, checking for fraud, getting bank autherizations and things like that.
And somethime between the maddness we still have to find two new cars....hooray.

Interesting Weekend...
We had a really nice weekend (for once). Friday night we went to see "Click" which was really good. On Saturday the Chinese group had a cookout. And in true JW fashion, there was tons of food!!!
Everyone has been asking, and yes....that was our Kingdom Hall that you have heard so much about. The Hickman Rd Kingdom Hall in Columbus was broken into and they tried to start a fire in the basement. The Hall is the home to three congregations, Forest Park, Spanish East, and our congregation, Worthington. We are going to be going to the Westerville Hall for at least the next week. We were on CNN!!! I haven't heard too much yet...you have probably heard more than us. But the brother who did most of the interviews, Tom Wiley, is the P.O. of our hall and our bookstudy conductor, so we will know much more tomorrow. I did include some pictures (what really makes it hurt) and some links to local news coverage.
Luckily, our literature servant had just gotten a shipment that he hadn't taken to the hall yet. So we have two boxes of Bible Teach books in his garage. The room that was set on fire was where they kept the extra literature and there was a computer for research. Most of the literature down there was for the Spanish cong. so they are going to be hurting more since there is only one other Spanish cong in Columbus. The other sad thing is that there was a lot of older books and volumes down there. Like all the one name books, Salvation, Jehovah, all those...I think though that most of them had been taken by people. Chris and I were able to get Vol 1 of the Watchtower Volumes...it's pretty cool....

Ouch....
Well, I just came back from the chiropractor. It was pretty bad. We looked at my xrays, and my neck is all messed up. From the back you could see where one of the bones was twisted sideways. From the side was just plain horrible. The spine in your neck is supposed to have a curve, a normal healthy neck curves in towards the chest. If your spine is straight, that is bad. Basically because then the weight of your head gets put on only one or two bones instead of all 7. My neck....curves back towards my back. That's very bad!! It's basically the beginning of cervical spine degeneration. All the pressure is being put on one veretbrae which would eventually create a bone spur in my neck. THAT'S BAD!!!! So today we took xrays of my back to see just how messed up it is. So now, not only do I get to go to the doctor....I get to go 3 times a week for 3 weeks!!!
