I know it will be here soon, but that is also scary because it is two days before we leave for California which means that will be here soon too!! Once we get some pictures taken we will have to get them up here. Right now I am trying to get the videos of the parents finding out uploaded so that I can put the links on here. As of September there was officially a Chinese Circuit!!! Trust me on this, I know what I am talking about. Despite the number of Chinese Congregations, there was no actually Chinese Circuit. There were Chinese Assemblies, but they were always held as a part of one of the New York Circuits and therefore we met at the Assembly hall in Queens, NY. There was no Chinese Circuit Overseer so all visits to the congregations were from the local English circuit and all talks would have to be translated, including talks at the assemblies! Now that we are our own circuit things are taking off!! We now meet at the New Jersey Assembly Hall, also known as THE STANLEY THEATRE!! It is soo awesome! We also have a Chinese speaking circuit overseer. He and his wife were missionaries in Taiwan for many years and therefore are fluent in their Chinese. It was also very exciting to have a personalized needs of the circuit talk. Two of the points brought out were that of the need to not be prejudice with each other. For the Chinese Circuit that mainly applies to dialects. We should not only be close to those who speak Mandarin for Cantonese and let there be a division there. I found that interesting because even I have joked with some native sisters who speak both saying not to speak Cantonese saying that we only speak Mandarin here! The other point was the need for native Chinese people to move out west. One of the first questions a Chinese person will ask you when you invite them to a meeting is how many Chinese people will be there. It's frustrating cause if they came they would make more! Many of them are more interested in being able to go somewhere and associate with Chinese people, and that's fine with us! Once they get there and start listening, that's when it really sinks in. The large majority of Chinese brothers and sisters is in New York and luckily for us we have a connection! Curtis and Karolynn Lewis were assigned to our group last March as Special Pioneers and know most of the brothers there and are workin' real hard to convince some to move out here! Hopefully some with pray about it whole heartily and decide to follow this suggestion :)

The next blessing we received was that as of February 1, 2009 our little group became and official congregation!! It's hard to believe that 5 and a half years ago when I first started this there was only about 5 or 6 other people who went in Chinese service only 1 day a week. I am so glad that I made the decision to do Chinese despite those who thought it was not the best course for me to take. Jehovah has truly blessed my efforts! From the small group that used to go out in service, one is now in China and two are now missionaries in Columbia working in the Chinese field and I have the privilege of calling them my friends! It is crazy to think that this year was our third Chinese memorial! We had 61 in attendance and we have about 30-5 publishers in the congregation! We have been able to meet so many other brothers by having one brother a month come in to give a Chinese talk, usually from the New York area. We truly felt the love of the Central Congregation of Columbus when we become a congregation. Not only did they host our group and help financially support our Advanced Learning Class but when we became an official congregation they gave us a more then generous donation of some $10,000 to start us off!!!!!!! We have been able to us that to help bring in brothers from other areas for talks and also assist our brothers and sisters go to the assemblies in New Jersey if needed.

When the announcement was made about the International Conventions that would be held this year I beg Chris to apply, especially with places like Greece and Trinidad and Tobago. I cried when we were unable to, but realized it was a good decision when he was recently laid off. Needless to say when our Convention assignment was read in January I cried again. The Chinese Congregations are all assigned to the International Convention in Long Beach, CA!!!! Not only was it International, but it was by the ocean like all my choices were and it was in California, a place I have always wanted to go!!! I AM SO EXCITED!!! The convention is in Chinese, Vietnamese, Japanese, Korean, Tagalog (Philippines), and English. It is going to be amazing!! Chris has never flown before and never been to the Pacific so I am excited to get to do both.

Another blessing is that we have been assigned a Ministerial Training School graduate!! His name is Brandon Whitmyer and he is currently living in Oregon, but is originally from North Dakota. He has been here all week visiting. His assignment begins June 1st, but he will be here May 2nd. We are all very excited. He is in his early 30s and has only been baptized for 5 years! He has been learning Chinese for 3 years and gave the most amazing Chinese bible readings I have ever heard! We are all really excited to have him and to have him help us get our congregation off on the right foot!

Oh, forgot the mention our Chinese Territory. I don't know the actually number of territories, but we have 22 counties in Ohio. More or less everything south of I-70!Song Kaili 宋凱莉http://www.blogger.com/profile/04955158813447763988noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29525204.post-5799121286234795262009-04-10T14:08:00.005-05:002009-04-10T15:41:00.104-05:00Ai-Ya!!!Well, I can't believe I actually have a minute to sit down and right a post!!! I'm gonna have to spread all that is going on into a couple of different posts.

As seen in the previous comments Ji'e is preggo. She and Baili are getting along great, with the small exception of Baili's new toy...We marked down a ton of pets stuff at work super cheap so I decided to stock up to get ready for the puppies and to get the current animals some new toys. There were these rubber balls and these rubber ball shaped creatures that squeaked. I was trying to decide which ones to get and decided to get two of the creatures so that they won't fight over them and the made noise so they would be more fun. So I brought 'em home and was excited to give 'em to 'em so I stand on the other side of the gate and hold 'em behind my back and start squeakin' 'em. Baili always sleeps with us, so Thursday night we put Ji'e in her cage and took Baili in our room. Baili kept freakin' out! She wouldn't just lay down and go to sleep, she kept whining and crying so we finally took her out and put her in her cage next to Ji'e's. We had no problems after that! They hadn't even met outside of their cages but she had to be next to her jiejie (older sister). Erin may have beaten us to the punch but this has been in the works for about a month now, we just didn't tell anyone :) She is a rescue dog. Her former owner had her in a cage that was too small for her when she was growing and it stunted her growth. She just wasn't being taken proper care of so the breeder took her back. That left her with no home. The other issue was that she was ready to be bred. She had 10 gorious pups last time so they def wanted to breed her, so they did. And we decided to take her in. She and Baili are getting along pretty well so far. They have only had some issues with bones and water dishes, but we are getting that all straightened out. She is adjusting very very well. We just brought her home last night and she already curls up in our laps and loves to cuddle with us. She is small but pure muscle. Her lower point of gravity gives her more leverage to pull. Today we went for a walk at the park of roses and she walks great! Hopefully Baili can learn to stop pulling from her. We have a video up of the two of them playing this morning so check it out!

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jfVdSl-eK5ASong Kaili 宋凱莉http://www.blogger.com/profile/04955158813447763988noreply@blogger.com1tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29525204.post-37822759037011495042009-02-23T22:54:00.001-05:002009-02-23T22:56:36.412-05:00Awesome.
more animalsSong Kaili 宋凱莉http://www.blogger.com/profile/04955158813447763988noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29525204.post-89648860217153793882009-01-28T18:16:00.003-05:002009-01-28T18:50:29.112-05:00Doovie inspired me to share the dog meets snow love...

Song Kaili 宋凱莉http://www.blogger.com/profile/04955158813447763988noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29525204.post-46157597895386709702009-01-26T16:14:00.003-05:002009-01-26T16:58:51.828-05:00A Test of Loyalties...Chris finally tries to go into the bedroom to make her interested, but it isn't until I get up to go to bed that she responds...

Song Kaili 宋凱莉http://www.blogger.com/profile/04955158813447763988noreply@blogger.com7tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29525204.post-85272141261760269642009-01-09T19:40:00.006-05:002009-01-09T23:24:51.597-05:00Aaaand.....GOO!!!!!!

There!!! Chris and I were getting ready for work yesterday morning and we were both in the laundry room getting dressed. All-of-a-sudden I hear, "Oh Geez!" "Mother that hurt" "Aarrgghh!!" I turned around wonndering what in the world happened and Chris turns his shoulder to me and I see the top photo that you see hear. My mind didn't put it together cause it looked like a peeling sunburn and I was just like, "huh". He said he was backing up to get out of my way and he backed up into the flue from the furnace. When I realized what happened I was just like, "Oh Crap!" I started looking for the neosporine with pain reliever and of course couldn't find it since we actually had a situation goin' on. I had to go out to his work truck and get into the first aid kit and get ointment. Now mind you, this is about 5:30 am and it's probably 20 some degrees outside. I had to hurry and get dressed and go outside and immediately slipped on the ice and dropped the flashlight which proptly fell apart into three pieces. I don't think that it had registered just how serious it was at first. When it finally hit me I was like, "I'm gonna be late for work!!!" So then I'm trying to call off work, find stuff to put on the burn, and not freak out all at the same time. Seriously, if this would have been on anyone else I would not have been able to deal with it, and I'm not a weak stomached person! Since it was on his shoulder he can't reach it. He tried to get some of the dead skin off and when he pulled on it more and more was coming off...eww...so I finally was just like "Let me do it!" (He normally doesn't trust me) So I had to peel all the dead skin...SICK!!...and bandage it up. Luckily, we had just enough gauze to cover it. He went to work for a while and then went to Urgent Care. They gave him a script for silvadine cream and we restocked on gauze. After having to clean it last night and this morning I also made sure to buy some latex gloves. I would rather clean up puke than clean it. It's dee-scugst-ing!! There are colors and smells coming from that thing that the human body should not produce! The bottom picture is from last night. It's already healing up really well.
But needlessly to say, we have had an exciting past couple of days! So there you go, there is your update. NOW BACK OFF!

Song Kaili 宋凱莉http://www.blogger.com/profile/04955158813447763988noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29525204.post-58734069971982632592008-11-24T16:07:00.005-05:002008-11-24T16:34:04.291-05:00Interesting WeekendGood grief!! What a weekend! Friday night Chirs and I headed down to the ville to spend the night. Meanwhile Baili went out on the town (pics to come later). I tried to finish my buckeyes but the chocolate was really thick so I tried to had a little milk to thin it out...little did I know apprently that just makes melted chocolate chips solid!!

Saturday we went to Grams to watch OSU spank Michigan and had a really good time. At about 3 am I heard a crash, Baili jump a mile high, and Tyler screaming. I thought that Tyler might have fallen out of bed or something even though it had sounded alittle more serious than that. We ended up being up till 5:30am because of the wrech (see Erin's site).

When Erin came downstairs to wake me up Sunday morning I felt instantly sick. It felt like I was car sick. I wasn't sure what was going on but I knew it wasn't good. I decided not to go to meeting and I think that was one of the best decions I have made in a long time! About 20 minutes after they left I started throwing up. I threw up 9 times in 4 hours. I haven't felt that horrible since my appendix! I finally stopped and was able to go home about 7pm. When we got home Chris got my some applesouce and I had two bowls. I slept till 3:20pm today. It was pretty funny, Target called me atlike 9:30 this morning to see if I was going to be in tomorrow. I just told 'em I have no idea! I just threw up 9 times in 4 hours I have no idea when I'm gonna feel like workin on my feet for 8 hours again! I feel ok right now, just still a little weak since I haven't had much to eat. Now I'm just hopin' Chris doesn't get it!!Song Kaili 宋凱莉http://www.blogger.com/profile/04955158813447763988noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29525204.post-45266722722109809452008-11-17T15:35:00.001-05:002008-11-17T15:37:09.219-05:00Disgusting!!It stinkin' snowed today!! Chris has a blog now too so y'all will have to check it out. The address is http://volusiacounty800.blogspot.com/. You may see some of the same pics becuase I can't find my usb cord for my camera right now. The puppy is doing great. They think that she might be able to be the youngest grand champion in the US if she starts doing shows soon. She's an absoluting gorgiously perfect dogo.
I don't know how many of you know, but I got a new job at Target! I just couldn't take the stress of my last job so I quit in the middle of October. I used the rest of the month to go in service since I was aux pioneering and got the job at Target about two weeks ago. I just finished my first full week working and I love it! I'm working on the pricing team marking all the clearance and changing amy shelf labels for price changes. I start at 6am and will be getting off around noon everyday. Most of you have already heard that Chris and I are getting a dog. More specifically a Dogo Argentino. These are the most amazing dogs!! We just got here last night and were around the mothers long enough to feed them and take them outside and already the are completely comfortable with us. They don't bark when we come in the room and the fight us when we try to put them back. The oldest, Bellah, who is 5 years old is constantly jumping up on me wanting me to just give her as much attention as possible. They love for us to just hug them around there necks and they put their chins on our shoulders as we pet them. They are completely comfortable with us doing whatever with the puppies. Pretty awesome from two 80 lbs horses that "look so mean"!! We are so excited to get our little "Bai Li" (pronounced BUY-LEE) which means "White Beauty". We will be able to bring her home in another month. We don't know which one she is yet since they are only 4 weeks old. Because they are so young their personalities are just now coming out...they bullies and the barkers are starting to show themselves. Also, we have to wait until Mindy is able to take them to Michigan to get their hearing tests. Dogos, like most white animals, are more likely to suffer from deafness. In fact there was one puppy who slept all through their feeding today, and we wonder is it isn't deaf...he was in a cage with 12 other puppies and a giant bowl of food and never moved a muscle. I thought it might even be dead!!

I will try to get some pictures up here eventually...can't yet since I'm not on my own computer, but hopefully we will be Internet again, although hard to tell how long that will be. It does no good to have Internet if you don't have money to pay you electric bill!!!

Mindy also has an African Survel. Google it...they are awesome!! He doesn't like any one but Mindy though, he just hisses at us. So Mom keep your distance!!

Check out Mindy's website for the Dogos. The mother of our puppy will more than likely be Bellah (I say that because her daughter Jazzlin also just had 3 puppies) and the father is Fabulous. Jazzlin was #3 national Dogo Champ in 2006, and Fabulous was #1 national Dogo Champ in 2007. Now we just have to wait to get our financing taken care of. I guess we made $3,000 too much to get any down payment assistance. We had to get alternate lines of credit and we called all of our utilities a month ago and requested all of our payment histories, but WOW and AT&T are not helping at all. WOW still hasn't sent it, and now AT&T is saying that they can't since we are no longer customers. They are so horrible that there are no words. And they are just turning themselves into a Monopoly...AGAIN...since Bellsouth is getting ready to join them too. GGGRRR.....I really really don't like them. But anyway, that's the lastest. Till next time....Song Kaili 宋凱莉http://www.blogger.com/profile/04955158813447763988noreply@blogger.com5tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29525204.post-1169812975943437422007-01-26T06:55:00.000-05:002007-01-26T07:07:00.340-05:00Here we Go...Again....Well...we are signing an offer on a house today. I'm so nervous!! As we were waiting for our realitor to look at it, three other cars pulled up. It was another realitor and a couple coming to look at it, so I'm nervous that we won't get it. If we don't it won't be a huge deal....we just really want it. The house has everything we were looking for, except a basement. But there is plenty of room and storage that it not really a big issue. It has a big two car garage and three small storage shed's behind it. It's three bedroom and the kitchen has a ton of cabinets!!! The area is not exactly Dublin or anything, but it's one a quiet street with not alot of traffic. We should know by Monday if they accept our offer or not!!!

2177 Melrose AveSong Kaili 宋凱莉http://www.blogger.com/profile/04955158813447763988noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29525204.post-1168831226477179932007-01-14T22:12:00.000-05:002007-01-14T22:20:26.490-05:00Here we Go...Well...we got to look at houses today. The one that had the really big yard was just too much of a stretch for me. As much as I wanted to like it, it just wasn't there. The whole house was hard wood floors, which I am not a fan of (too hard to keep clean!!) except for the Kitchen which had carpet. It was just cramped and weird. We would have had a hard time putting our Queen size bed in the bedroom, so we ruled that one out. We got it down to two. We are hoping to go back to see them again this Sunday with our family so they can see what they think. I put links on the page (hopefully they will work) to both of them. The first one is the one I like best, and I think Chris does too. It needs nothing done to it except paint what colors we want. The second wouldn't need much and has only had one owner since 1956! But anyway....here they are.

2233 Ferris Rd

1632 Case RdSong Kaili 宋凱莉http://www.blogger.com/profile/04955158813447763988noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29525204.post-1168484562480270572007-01-10T21:55:00.000-05:002007-01-10T22:02:42.490-05:00Same Ole....So I figured now that it's been over a month since my last post it's time to put something on here. There's really nothing new going on right now. We're still in the class, and getting ready to start the Revelation book in Chinese, so that should be very interesting. Right now we are trying to get a house. We have picked out about six houses that we were supposed to look at last Sunday, but our realitor was sick (of course!!!) so we are going this Sunday. Hopefully that should all work out for us. It won't be anything fancy, but it will be a place where we won't have to listen to our downstairs neighbor beat on his girl (just our next door ones!!) The bucks lost and that really really sucks, but we still beat Michigan and got the Heisman so it was still a good season. Besides, the way they played we didn't deserve to win. (Except for FL 2nd t.d. when the kids knee was CLEARLY on the ground!!!!) But anyway, it really is the same old here, but we will keep you updated on the housing situation.Song Kaili 宋凱莉http://www.blogger.com/profile/04955158813447763988noreply@blogger.com3tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-29525204.post-1164900873891321762006-11-30T10:25:00.000-05:002006-11-30T10:34:33.903-05:00wE'Re OfFiCaL!!!!Well, as of Nov 22, 2006, the Columbus, Ohio Chinese group is offically recognized by the Society!!!!! We were all so surprised, they had just told us at last weeks class that they had sent in the paper work about two weeks ago and then they annouced it Wednesday at Central's Service Meeting. I was cought so off guard that I was starting to cry (thanks Mom!!). After meeting, Jessica Rambo that I went to Ohio State with came up and we gave each other a big hug...we've both been waiting a long time for this!!! This also will be a test for those who said they were waiting until the group was offical to move to Central, us included!! But Chris talked to the secretary after meeting, so all we have to do is inform our current secretary. I'm pretty sure they have morning meeting right now, and since the year is almost over, that means I won't have morning meeting for another two years!!! It's already been two since my last one!! Aawww....3:30pm....here we come!!!!Song Kaili 宋凱莉http://www.blogger.com/profile/04955158813447763988noreply@blogger.com6
